Baby Steps

Remember me talking about “Make Over” being my theme for the year? Well, I am definitely getting a make over in the healthy living department.  I have been told recently that I need to “avoid” gluten.  Hmmm.  Yeah, I am also supposed to be “avoiding” sugar.  Can I tell you, that can be hard in this day and age?!?!?!

So, physically, I am still taking baby steps.  I LOVED the Power 90 workout series, but my body just isn’t ready for it.  I did a little research and found the best thing for me to do (taking my plethora of health conditions into consideration) is to walk for 30-40 minutes three times a week.  So, that is my new goal, and we shall see how that works out :)  I am pleased to say though, that my weight is no longer jumping around like a yo yo, and has been stable for about 2 weeks now.  I may have even lost a couple of pounds.  The interesting thing is, that I have lost inches!  WOW!

Financially, we are still working hard!  This week, I am pleased to say, that we paid off 6 debts (mostly medical stuff), and have only 1 more bill standing between us, and being debt free again (excluding our home).  So, Baby step 3 (saving 6 months of expenses) we are almost ready for ya!!!  WOO HOO!

I am so thankful to the Lord for His mercy to me this year!  The “make over” is going well!!!
